You Predict the Present Moment; A Skeptical Analysis on Fortune Telling

That's right.  You can only predict NOW moments.  What does that mean exactly?

I'll start off with this; you can't predict the future.  Nobody can.  As spiritual as I am, I have a hard time believing psychics, especially fortune tellers.  I'm open to the idea of individuals who can talk to the "dead" or can see things happening in another part of the world.  Fortune tellers HAVE to be liars or confused individuals who think they can see future events.

Think of well known psychics, channelers or intuitives like Sylvia Browne or JZ Knight.  I won't deny that they have some talents (I only say talents due to the possibility of them either acting or being great mentalists), but any future even that they ever predicted never came true.  They try to save themselves with some elaborate excuse, but never admit that they were wrong.

When you think of possible future events like getting a promotion or telling a friend some bad news, you either get happy, excited, sad or anxious.  Those feelings rise up in the present moment and you have no idea how the situation will turn out.  There is no reason to fret about possible future events.  Those possible future events are only THOUGHTS.  They are not predictions, just THOUGHTS.  Thinking about the future may makes you anxious.  Also, thinking about the past may make you depressed.

All-in-all, the past and future do no exist.  If you are attached to either or both, you FORGIVE THE PAST and CREATE YOUR FUTURE.  How?  By living in the present moment.  Just don't become attached to negative thoughts.  Give up hope for a better past and pray affirmatively.  Pray as if something you want or need is coming into your life right now and that you're happy and grateful that it is happening.  That's all it takes.  It's simple, but not easy.  As ironic as it may sound, practice this simple difficulty with ease.

I'll end this post with a quote from Back to the Future 3.  After traveling to the past and future events, Doc Brown finally made sense of his travels.  IT'S ALL CAUSE AND EFFECT:

"Your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one."
